Geela Parish is an award-winning international singer-songwriter-producer whose music has been recorded by such music icons as Patti La Belle. Geela’s long and illustrious musical career, which began at the age of eleven, includes the release of many critically-acclaimed albums in different languages, achievement awards, soundtracks for movies and television shows, media appearances, starring in the hit DVD How to Know God with Deepak Chopra, world tours sharing the stage with such top recording artists as Dolly Parton, and rave reviews by the media and world-renowned personalities alike.

Bio - The full story
The Story
Geela Parish was born in Iran and raised in a small town in Israel. Since an early age Geela was exposed to many different styles and types of music because of her father who played various musical instruments including the sitar. He made sure to instill the love of music in her and her four siblings. Living in a small town with no stimulation for growth and/or opportunities for self-fulfillment, music quickly became Geela’s lifeline to another world and one of her greatest most enduring passions in life.
But it was her exposure to Barbara Streisand’s captivating music, talent and unmatched accomplishments that made the most profound impact on her life. Barbara sparked an all-consuming passion for music in Geela and the start of a long and illustrious musical career. “I had one big dream: to be a singer and share the joy of music with the rest of the world. To me music has always been more than just art but a way of life and singing became synonymous with breathing.”
Having had no formal musical education and professional training, Geela had become completely self-taught vocally. During her formative years, she developed a special affinity for the English language, to the point where even her dreams would be in English. Although she sings in ten different languages, including Spanish, Italian, French, Arabic and Persian, English is still her language of choice.
Geela’s first pubic performance was at the tender age of eleven in a band formed by her brother. Shortly after graduating from high school she joined the military where she would become the lead singer for the most prestigious band in Israel, the Israeli Air Force Band. She would also participate in several highly publicized international events in which she represented the state of Israel while touring extensively throughout Europe and receiving rave reviews and offers from major European record labels. Despite the lucrative opportunities to make it big in Europe, Geela’s heart was in the land of her dreams - America.
At the age of nineteen Geela made a daring life-changing decision only very few people would make since it would require her not only to leave her family, friends and homeland behind but also travel half the way around the globe with no money or support system whatsoever to pursue a big dream as an aspiring singer against all odds in a language that was neither her first or second hoping to be ‘discovered’ in an age before YouTube and/or national talent shows such as American Idol and The Voice.
Eventually with determination and hard work she was able to overcome years of incredible struggles and obstacles including the language barrier and a culture shock, and achieve the American Dream with many impressive accomplishments.
However, her life’s dream was derailed due to an unexpected and very unusual life-changing event. Geela was involved in a horrific car crash, which she survived miraculously. It resulted in a near-death experience and led to the discovery of her true calling to use her talents and passion to become a force for good and help make a meaningful difference in the world.
This was a turning point in Geela’s life, which made her question the purpose of life and become a totally changed person. This extraordinary life-transforming experience also resulted in a number of profound things she felt compelled to share with the world.
For starters Geela began receiving powerful and transformative divine revelations and powerful insights into the human condition and the hidden nature of life including man’s ability to co-create and manifest desires. She started gaining unusual abilities ranging from healing and psychic to composing music without the benefit of playing any musical instruments. “Sahara” is about our eternal struggle to survive and transcend the pain of the human condition. The title "Sahara" was inspired by a chance meeting with a nomad in the middle of the desert. The image of that nomad invoked an intense feeling of loneliness, yet connectedness to something larger than life itself. In a moment of instant enlightenment, Geela realized how joy and pain are both essential parts of the human experience.
In "Like A Circle", Geela captures the hauntingly beautiful sound of the rhythm of life; a sound which allows the listener to reach a higher level of consciousness. The underlying message of the song is to convey the truth that we are not human beings having a spiritual experience, but rather spiritual beings having a human experience and as such we are eternal.
