Geela Parish: The purpose-driven artist/activist
How one person can make a difference in a big way
After all, how many people have such an exceptional human-interest story of survival, courage and triumph over adversity including a near-death experience coupled with a tremendous background, countless miracles, diverse talents and impressive accomplishments all rolled into one?
Incidentally, Geela’s efforts on all fronts, including her humanitarian/advocacy efforts, have been recognized with many awards and rave reviews from the media, world-renowned personalities, bestselling authors, celebrities and reputable organizations alike. For example, Mark Victor Hansen, co-author of Chicken Soup for the Soul series, described Geela’s incredible journey as “a testament to how the human spirit can triumph over adversity with courage and unshakable faith.” Commenting on Geela’s strong advocacy for the cause of peace, Joseph Farah, Editor in Chief of WorldNetDaily.com emphasized “how one person can make a difference in a big way.” Todd Brabec, Executive Director of ASCAP described Geela’s music as “truly special, inspirational and timely.” He added that, “ASCAP is very proud to have such a unique artist as its member. She has the right vision at the right time. In cosmic time it is only an eye-blink before peace and harmony will prevail, and Geela is helping to attain this goal.”
Still, Geela insists that this is not about the messenger, but the message of hope and empowerment for all. “A near-death experience I had many years ago as a result of surviving a horrific car crash, led to the discovery of my true calling to serve God as I became aware of the misconception about the power of external riches to give us internal riches of meaning, purpose, real joy and fulfillment, peace and self-worth,” says Geela Parish who feels guided by her ‘Silent Partner’ because of the many miracles in her life. Geela’s strong advocacy for peace and education is reflected in all of her endeavors particularly in her music, books and columns.

Music can be extremely effective in fulfilling the dream of world peace while awakening the global consciousness, because it’s the heartbeat of humanity and the universal language of the soul, which transcends superficial barriers as religion, race and ethnicity,” says Geela Parish who assures people the rewards of practicing random acts of kindness.
